How Wonderment Is Made
Wonderment begins with lived experience, curiosity and observation. Most stories start with me telling them out loud, with technology occasionally used as a tool to help shape them for the page.
Wonderment starts with me.
The stories, memories, experiences, questions, observations and ideas are mine. I often begin by talking them through - in conversation, in voice notes or in the middle of ordinary life.
From there. I use Al as an editoria tool to help shape drafts, organise thoughts, explore background information, test structure and refine language.
Wonderment is not an AI-generated publication in the sense of feeding prompts into a machine and publishing whatever comes back.

A note on AI and environmental impacts
I use AI as a limited editorial tool to help shape, structure and refine stories that begin with my own memories, observations and spoken drafts. I don’t use it to mass-produce content or replace the human source of the work.
I’m also aware that AI has a real environmental cost through the energy, water and infrastructure required to run data centres. Because of that, I try to use it deliberately rather than endlessly: fewer unnecessary iterations, less disposable content, and a preference for making work that is worth the resources used to create it.
This isn’t a claim of environmental perfection. It is simply part of trying to make Wonderment thoughtfully, while continuing to pay attention to the impact of the tools I use.
My brain works a little differently.
I’m dyslexic and have ADHD, and using AI helps me enormously. It helps me capture thoughts quickly, keep hold of stories before they disappear, and shape ideas into something readable. It helps me share more of what I notice — not less of myself.
