A beige bell tent viewed from inside, with its front flap open to reveal a lush green countryside landscape under a cloudy sky. A small outdoor fire pit and a person sitting on a blanket are visible in the field.

STORIES

Thoughtful stories, reflections and ideas about life, being human and the world around us.

All about wonderment stories

Wonderment Stories is a collection of personal essays, reflections, observations and short stories about being human and the world around us.

The collection brings together writing from both Wonderment and Small Wonders. Some pieces begin with a question about human behaviour, relationships, memory or the choices we make. Others begin somewhere much smaller — a conversation, a place, an object, a journey or something noticed during an ordinary day.

Stories can be explored through Human, World, Nature, Things and From the Hammock, with each collection offering a different way into the ideas and experiences that make up Wonderment.

Longer Wonderment pieces make space to follow an idea further, combining personal experience with reflection and, where relevant, research. Small Wonders are shorter observations: moments worth noticing that don't need to become something bigger.

All stories are written by Francine Sharrocks and published independently through Wonderment.
